These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website masonselectrical.co.za (the "Site") and any services, products, or content offered by Masons Electrical ("we," "us," "our"). By accessing or using the Site, placing an order, or engaging us for electrical services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or our services.

2. Use of This Site

You agree to use this Site only for lawful purposes. You may not:

3. Products Sold Through This Site

Masons Electrical sells electrical cable, wiring, and related hardware through this Site.

  • Pricing: All prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include/exclude VAT as indicated at checkout. Masons Electrical reserves the right to change prices at any time without prior notice.
  • Product Availability: Products are subject to availability. Masons Electrical reserves the right to limit quantities or refuse an order.
  • Order Acceptance: Your order is an offer to purchase. Masons Electrical reserves the right to accept or decline any order for any reason, including pricing errors, stock issues, or suspected fraud.
  • Payment: Payment is processed securely through Shopify's payment infrastructure. Masons Electrical does not store your full payment card details.
  • Delivery: Estimated delivery times will be provided at checkout or by follow-up communication. Masons Electrical is not liable for delays caused by couriers, customs, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
  • Returns & Refunds: You may return a product within 7 days of delivery. To be eligible for a return, the product must be unused, in its original packaging, and in the same condition you received it. To initiate a return, contact us at admin@masonselectrical.co.za. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs, unless Masons Electrical determines, at its discretion, that it will cover the cost of return (for example, where the product is defective or the wrong item was shipped). Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. Approved refunds will be processed to your original method of payment within a reasonable time. This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.

4. Electrical Services

Separately from products sold on this Site, Masons Electrical provides electrical installation, maintenance, compliance certification (COC), and related services, quoted and agreed to individually with each customer.

  • Quotes: Quotes provided are estimates based on information available at the time and may be subject to change if the scope of work changes once work begins.
  • Compliance: All electrical work is carried out in accordance with SANS 10142-1 and other applicable South African standards. Certificates of Compliance are issued where legally required.
  • Scheduling: Appointment times are estimates. Masons Electrical will make reasonable efforts to notify you of delays.
  • Access: You are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the property for work to be carried out.
  • Warranty on Workmanship: Masons Electrical warrants its workmanship for a period of 6 months from the date of completion, covering defects in installation. This warranty excludes damage caused by misuse, third-party work, acts of God, or normal wear and tear. This warranty applies to workmanship only and does not extend to materials or products, which may carry their own manufacturer warranties.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law:

  • Masons Electrical is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or its services.
  • Masons Electrical's total liability for any claim relating to products purchased through the Site is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant product.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or other applicable South African law, including liability for gross negligence or intentional harm.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — including text, graphics, logos, and images — is owned by or licensed to Masons Electrical and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without written permission.

7. Privacy
